Jewellery Care Guide

Designed to Be Worn

At GemityBlue, we believe you shouldn’t have to choose between beauty and everyday practicality.
Our jewellery is designed, tested, and finished to be water-friendly and wearable in real life — from daily routines to ocean environments.

You can wear our pieces while showering, swimming, or enjoying the sea, without the need to constantly remove them. A simple rinse and clean is all that’s required to keep them looking their best.

Materials & Everyday Care

At GemityBlue, our jewellery is crafted to be worn — not stored away.
Each piece is made using carefully selected precious metals and tested for exposure to water, salt, and changing environments.

Sterling Silver–Palladium Blend

Designed for wear

Our sterling silver–palladium blend combines the brightness of silver with the added durability of palladium, a precious metal from the platinum family.

This alloy is chosen specifically for:

  • Enhanced strength and longevity

  • Improved resistance to tarnishing

  • Comfort for everyday, extended wear

Water & salt exposure

This material is safe for regular exposure to fresh water and saltwater.
After ocean or pool use, a quick rinse with clean water will help maintain its finish.

Care

  • Rinse with fresh water after salt or chlorinated water exposure

  • Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth

  • Occasional polishing will restore original brilliance

A soft patina may develop over time and is a natural characteristic of precious metals.

Gold

Designed for wear

Our gold pieces are crafted using solid gold alloys selected for durability, making them suitable for continuous, everyday wear.

Gold is naturally resistant to corrosion and performs well in water and active environments.

Water & salt exposure

Gold jewellery is safe to wear in water, including ocean conditions.
Rinsing after prolonged salt exposure is recommended to preserve surface finish.

Care

  • Rinse with clean water after extended salt exposure

  • Clean periodically with mild soap and water

  • Dry with a soft cloth

Gold develops character over time while retaining its warmth and beauty.

Platinum

Designed for wear

Platinum is one of the most durable precious metals available and is ideal for uninterrupted, everyday wear.

It does not corrode, fade, or lose metal with normal use.

Water & salt exposure

Platinum is completely safe for water and salt exposure.
Routine rinsing keeps the surface clean and bright.

Care

  • Rinse and dry as needed

  • Clean occasionally with warm water and mild soap

  • Polish if a brighter finish is preferred

Platinum naturally develops a soft patina that many consider part of its character.

Everyday Wear Guidance

Our jewellery is designed to move with you — from daily routines to coastal environments.

To keep your pieces looking their best:

  • Rinse after extended salt or pool exposure

  • Dry thoroughly before storage

  • Store pieces separately when not worn

No special handling is required for normal, active wear.

A Note on Finish & Patina

All precious metals evolve with wear.
Subtle changes in surface finish or patina are a natural result of use and reflect the individuality and life of each piece.
