Iolite Silver Ring

Iolite Silver Ring | Size US 7 / UK–AU N½

Deep blue with flashes of violet and stormy indigo, this natural iolite has the shifting colour that once earned the gemstone the name water sapphire.

Set by hand in a softly organic silver bezel, the stone is deliberately allowed to remain the focus. The gently irregular setting gives the ring a quiet, handmade character, while the polished silver band keeps the overall design clean and understated.

Iolite changes beautifully with the light, moving from near-black midnight blue through smoky violet and cool ocean tones. No two views of the stone are quite the same.

Designed and made in my Sunshine Coast, Australia workshop, this is a one-of-a-kind piece from a small independent atelier.
